# TERMS OF USE — Wahat Al-Taqnia Interactive ICT Platform

By using this platform you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree,
please do not use it.

## 1. Nature of the Platform

Wahat Al-Taqnia is an interactive educational tool supporting the ICT curriculum
for Grades 1–4 in the Sultanate of Oman. It runs entirely in the browser and
works offline after the first load. It is **not a replacement for the textbook or
the teacher**; it is a supporting tool for practice and training.

## 2. Intellectual Property

The platform and all its elements are owned by **Ustatha Doaa Al-Jarwani**.
Usage rights are governed by `LICENSE_AR.md` and `LICENSE_EN.md`, which form an
integral part of these terms.

The curriculum itself is the property of the Ministry of Education, Sultanate of
Oman. The Ministry logo indicates curricular reference only and does not imply
sponsorship or official endorsement unless separately issued by the Ministry.

## 3. Permitted Use

1. Educational use in schools, classrooms and homes for study purposes.
2. Demonstration in lessons and non-commercial educational workshops.
3. Offline operation from a lawfully obtained copy.

## 4. Prohibited Use

1. Redistribution, publication or upload to any other platform.
2. Sale, rental or any commercial exploitation.
3. Modification, derivation or reverse engineering followed by republication.
4. Removing or altering copyright notices or the author's name.
5. Attributing the work to anyone other than its owner, or implying such.
6. Any use contrary to the laws in force in the Sultanate of Oman.

## 5. Privacy and Pupil Data

- **No accounts and no profiles.** The platform never requests a name, an email
  address, or any personal data whatsoever.
- **No data is sent to any server.** No analytics, no trackers, no third-party
  services.
- Learning progress is stored **locally on the device only**, in browser storage,
  under a namespace isolated per grade and semester: `waha:g{G}s{S}:`.
- On shared devices, entry offers **"Start a new session"** or **"Continue the
  last session on this device"**, so that one pupil never inherits another's
  progress.
- A teacher can clear device progress from within **Teacher Mode** using
  **"Clear this device's progress"**, with explicit confirmation; deletion is
  limited to the intended grade and semester.
- Progress remains on the device until cleared by one of the options above or by
  clearing browser data.

## 6. Liability

The platform is provided **"AS IS"** without warranty of any kind. The owner
accepts no liability for any direct or indirect damage arising from use or
inability to use the platform, nor for any loss of locally stored progress.

## 7. Availability and Updates

Updates may be issued to improve quality or fix defects. The owner does not
guarantee continuity of service or the provision of technical support. These
terms apply to all updates unless stated otherwise.

## 8. Changes to These Terms

The owner reserves the right to update these terms. The latest version shipped
with the platform applies.

## 9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, whose courts have
jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
